Los verbos compuestos son grupos de palabras que combinan un verbo con un adverbio o una preposición y crean una nueva frase verbal. Como tal, el significado de una phrasal verb no está relacionado con el significado de las palabras separadas que lo crean, por lo que debemos pensar las phrasal verbs como palabras completamente nuevas e independientes.

Los verbos compuestos actúan igual que otros verbos y pueden funcionar como el verbo principal de una oración, y podemos conjugarlos en todo tipo de formas verbales.

Regla 1: Las phrasal verbs separables siempre tienen un objeto directo, que podemos poner en medio de una phrasal verb separable, entre el verbo y el participio.
