## Tens

Rule 1: We put an and between the hundreds and the tens in British English. If there are no tens, we put the and before the single digits. We can skip the and in American English.

Rule 2: We put a or one before the number 100, but only at the beginning of a number.

Rule 3: We use a and one with thousands and millions the same way as with hundreds.
